Student Council Survey on Cultural Diversity
Following an extensive survey of all our students it was found that our students represent 78 different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. This shows how truly global we are as a school, a true representation of our New Ireland.
Student Council Organised Show Racism the Red Card Day
‘Difference is a resource. Difference is richness. That is the Ireland that is unfolding before us and I welcome it’
This is a quote from our president
Michael D Higgins, and it is one that we very much endorse in CMM Galway. Our Student Council, under the guidance of Ms. Maura Geoghegan, undertook a survey amongst our students to establish the cultural diversity of our school. It emerged that our students represent 79 different nationalities! We are delighted to be able to share in such a rich diversity of cultures and backgrounds, to learn from each other, and acknowledge both our similarities and differences as we all strive towards the same goals.
